1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the Renault Radio Code app ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. By using the App, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information we do NOT collect
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number or location.
- We do not collect your vehicle identification number (VIN) or personal vehicle data.
3. Camera permission CAMERA
The App asks for access to your device camera only to scan the barcode on your car radio sticker so that the 4-character precode can be read automatically.
- Scanning happens on your device.
- Photos and video are not saved, not uploaded and not shared.
- Only the detected precode text (for example, T462) is used by the App.
- The camera is used only while the scanner screen is open.
- The camera permission is optional: you can deny it and type the precode manually instead.
- You can withdraw the permission at any time in your device's Settings → Apps → Renault Radio Code → Permissions.
4. Data stored on your device
The App saves your history of precodes and unlock codes, your favorites, and your preferences (language, theme and text size) locally on your device only. This data is not sent to us. You can delete items or clear your history inside the App, or remove everything by clearing the App's storage or uninstalling it.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use information such as your advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and approximate usage data to show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud. This may include personalized advertising, depending on your device settings and the consent options available in your region.

6. Internet access
Unlock codes are calculated on your device and the core feature works offline. An internet connection is used for displaying ads and, if enabled in your version of the App, for optional online code lookup. Only the precode you enter or scan is sent in that case, without any personal identifiers.
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell or rent your information. Information is shared only with third-party service providers described above (Google AdMob) as needed to operate advertising. When you use the "Share" buttons, content is sent only to the app you choose.
8. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the limited data used by the App. Because history is stored locally, its security also depends on the security of your device.

This App is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Renault or Dacia. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. Use the App only on radios you own or are authorized to unlock.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
